Omega-3 EPA, a type of fatty acid, is necessary for helping break-down dietary fats within the body. Each Omega-3 EPA capsule contains vitamin E (d-alpha tocopherol acetate), EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosanexaenoic acid).

Omega-3 EPA is 1,000 mg of natural fish oil concentrate derived from cold-water fish. Natural sources of Omega-3 include tuna, salmon, mackerel, sardines, walnuts, flax seed oil and canola oil.

Omega-3 EPA helps balance of the body's chemistry and support the circulatory and immune systems. Omega-3 EPA is also important for maintaining low cholesterol and blood pressure levels, improving circulation and preventing heart disease.

Omega-3 EPA may be beneficial for inflammatory conditions such as arthritis and colitis; skin conditions including psoriasis and eczema; and respriatory ailments such as allergies and bronchial asthma. In addition, Omega-3 EPA may be useful for relieving menstrual cramping, headaches and enlarged prostate gland.

(Avoid taking Omega-3 EPA if a blood-clotting disorder exists.)

Take 1-2 Nature's Sunshine Omega-3 EPA capsules three times a day with meals. Take 1-2 Herbal Mountain Omega-3 EPA soft gel capsules daily with a meal.
